This brown sugar cardamom latte is made with a homemade brown sugar cardamom syrup that can make any cup or tea or coffee feel fancy and indulgent!
There is something indulgent about adding a sugary syrup to your morning coffee. Especially these days when we’re making coffee at home. Keeping up your coffee routine can get monotonous.
As a coffee addict (see these mocha cupcakes and mocha waffles) who used to frequently work out of various coffee shops, I like to think I know a little something about coffee.
I’ve been experimenting with lots of different ways to make a better cup of coffee at home, and making some of my coffee shop favorites at home!

Usually, I take my coffee black. But then there are days that I’m just craving something a little more for my coffee.
Whether it’s a little steamed milk or experimenting with some spices or extracts. It helps me get through the morning. (Can you tell I’m not a morning person?)
This brown sugar cardamom latte is definitely one that I can tell you lifts my spirits every time!
Brown Sugar Cardamom Latte
- The three parts to this latte are the Brown Sugar Cardamom Syrup, a shot of espresso, and some steamed milk.
- The ratio of the ingredients is just how I enjoy this latte. Experiment with less or more syrup, coffee, or milk as you enjoy your coffee drinks!
- I made the latte with a shot of espresso. But you can also replace it with a strong black coffee.
- Steamed milk really helps bring coffee together. You can use milk frother like this one I got from Amazon. You can also pour some warm milk into a mason jar, close the lid and shake it for about 30 seconds to get the bubbles.
I love making a big batch of this brown sugar cardamom syrup to keep in the fridge. It’s such an easy addition to my morning coffee or afternoon pick me up!

Other ways to use the Brown Sugar Cardamom Syrup
If you’re not a coffee drinker, this brown sugar cardamom syrup will also make a great addition to a cup of black tea! You can also make a tea latte with tea instead of coffee, add steamed milk and this syrup.
