This Apple Crisp Shaken Espresso is fall in a cup. A cozy blend of apple, a caffeine kick, and creamy oat milk come together for a perfect sip of autumn in this iced apple latte.
Pull 1-2 espresso shots or brew 1/2 cup of strong coffee.
When ready to make your drink, add the espresso, brown sugar, and apple sauce to a cocktail shaker or a jar with a lid. Top with 1/2 cup of ice.
Shake for a minute or so until the ingredients are all mixed.
Strain and pour the mixture into a tall glass (see notes).
Add 1/2 cup of ice.
Top with the oat milk or milk of choice.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and top with dried apple if desired.
Notes
A cocktail shaker with a strainer is ideal for this recipe as the applesauce may be thick and chunky in the drink otherwise. You can also pour the drink through a sieve before pouring it into the cup.
