Fall is a great time to stay home and get cozy. Why not make a fall bucket list of things to get done this fall? Get inspired by this list of ideas for your fall bucket list!
Fall is here!
If you’ve browsed any of my recipes lately, I’m sure you can tell I’m right in the middle of fall mode – pumpkins, apples, pecans, caramel, cinnamon, and nutmeg – and all the fall flavors.
When I was in school, September was the time for a fresh start. A blank page, and a new chapter.
Now I love it just as much for the opportunity it provides for a reset.
14 ideas for your Fall Bucket List
#1: Bake all the cozy treats
Did you expect a baking addict to have anything other than baking as the first thing on her fall bucket list?
I’m planning on using all the pumpkin, apple, and spices like cinnamon and nutmeg everytime I bake (which is a lot).
I already have these pumpkin cupcakes and apple hand pies here for you to experiment with! There’s a lot more to come!

#2: Meal prep with seasonal produce
Fall is such a great time for produce. It’s a great way to transition away from salads, and into more hearty vegetables like squash, pumpkins, carrots, and potatoes.
I love using my Instant Pot for cooking dinner but it often is better for bigger recipes, rather than cooking for two. Fall is the perfect time to make big batches of soup, and stews, that I can freeze for the next few months.
#3: Make a holiday baking plan
Of course, we’re coming up to the holidays. And I love baking all things sweet, like these candy cane cookies, peppermint macarons.
I have so many ideas and flavors to experiment with, so I need to make sure that I plan ahead for it all!
I’m also planning on doing Vlogmas over on my Youtube Channel – which means there will be new videos (with lots of recipes) every day in December. Make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel so you are notified!

#4: DIY warm drinks at home
I love going to different coffee shops in the summer, to find new drinks, and meet with different people. In the winter, when possible, I like to stay home, and in my blankets.
This is a perfect time to experiment with a homemade pumpkin spice latte, salted caramel lattes, or experiment with lots of tea lattes!
I even documented all of my best tips and tricks to make a cup of coffee better at home!

#5: Declutter this fall
We’ve all heard of spring cleaning, but fall can be just as much as a time to reset and get ready for the new year.
I have ambitious plans to declutter and organize my kitchen and closet this fall. And probably document the process as I go along!
#6: Hygge-ify: Get Cozy at Home
My fall wish list keeps growing. Spending more time at home means I can justify new blankets, cozy sweaters, and slippers.
Having these things in reach means there is a lot of thing
#7: Autumn-Inspired Decor
It’s starting to look a lot like cozy fall weather at home. I added some cute mini pumpkins I got from the grocery store all over my condo.
I also continue to burn fall candles, and I have some fall scented potpourri besides my desk! It smells great all the time, even when I’m not baking!
#8: Create a fall tablescape
Maybe I spend too much time on Pinterest and Instagram, but there are so many creative fall tablescapes I’ve seen this year!
My husband and I are probably going to be planning some date nights at home, and that might just be my experiment with a fall-inspired tablescape with lots of leaves and maybe some mini pumpkins.
On that date, here’s a list of Fun Date Night Ideas to try at home!
#9: Prepare plants for the cold
Over the summer I went on a plant buying spree. If you’re in Toronto, make sure to check out Jomo Studio.
I’m hoping that all my plants all survive the winter!
Our apartment is already feeling colder, and the heat hasn’t been switched on yet.
I’m taking extra care for my plants to make sure they don’t get overwatered, or feel the effects of the change in weather.
#10: Fall Walks – Changing leaves
Despite my desire to stay home, sometimes I do enjoy those slightly chilly walks.
I love that it is a lot quieter everywhere, and with the leaves changing colors, it feels like I’m walking around in a whole new city!
#11: Skincare routine for the cold
As the weather gets colder, my skin gets more temperamental. Although I use rose water in my skincare routine all year, I find that my skin needs. a lot more moisture in the winter!
I’m starting to add heavier moisturizers into my skincare routine.
#12: Fall manicure at Home
Painting my nails is a form of weekly self-care for me. I’m excited to switch over to the darker shades, like the reds, and browns this time of year.
Bonus, Halloween is a great time to experiment with lots of spooky nail art as well!
#13: Transition to a Fall Wardrobe
I live for sweaters and scarves. I’ll admit I have more scarves than I need in my closet and will find every opportunity to wear them!
Finally, I have the chance to break out the scarves and sweaters to the front of the closet, and start matching them to my daily outfits!
#14: Mental Reset: Gratitude List + Journal
Here in Canada, we celebrate Thanksgiving in October. It’s a great time to start thinking about all that we have to be thankful for.
Earlier this year, I got into the habit of journaling a few times a week and using the five-minute journal. That habit has wavered a little. Fall will be my time to reset into all the daily habits that make me feel better!
#15: Scary Movie Marathon
Halloween of course is a great time for scary movies, but I’m a chicken. So I will be watching some not so scary Halloween movies all month, like Freaky Friday, Bewitched, Hotel Transylvania, and some others from this list of Non-Scary Halloween Movies.
P.S.: Don’t forget the snacks like this popcorn chocolate chip cookies that go great with any movie marathon!
I would love to hear how you’re celebrating the fall season!
